Kabissa

Kabissa, Space for Change in Africa is an American NGO currently based outside of Seattle, Washington. It was founded by Tobias Eigen and for many years was based in Washington, D.C. It describes itself as "a network connecting people and organizations working in Africa for peer learning and information sharing."

Kabissa enabled the creation of the first Bisharat website in 2000 and, from 2002 to 2009, hosted the A12n email lists. Bisharat was in turn mentioned in recognition Kabissa received in 2003.

Kabissa later administered the PanAfrican Localisation (PAL) project for IDRC (2005-2008), of which I was the project lead.

Bisharat is still affiliated with Kabissa.
